What
we do:
Motley Clue Adventures offers a unique Team Building experience
for any size company. Our goal is to improve the morale and communication
of Triangle area business teams through our immersive mystery
Treasure Hunts.
The idea of building teams using puzzles and mystery against the
backdrop of a vast city-scape or museum is more than just fun.
Your team gets to enjoy an immersive off-site event, where everyone
(even the guy who hates group activities) gets in on the action.
Each puzzle is specifically designed with a different outcome
in mind. Therefore, communication puzzles may appeal to one member
of the group, while the math and organization puzzles appeal to
another. Still another group member may excel at the word-play
puzzles. It takes each and every member of your team adding in
his/her particular talents in order to succeed.
What you end up with is a uniquely fun off-site event that involves
everyone - no special skills are required. At the end of the day,
we deliver a very culminating 'de-brief' session that brings to
light the issues and successes of each team. It also highlights
the very team dysfunctional issues that we are here to combat.
Groups leave having worked, laughed, griped, and struggled together,
all in the name of solving a mystery. And, usually without even
realizing it, they've built trust, camaraderie and stronger bonds
than you get with any other type of team building.
Who we are:
My name is Dennis Putnam, and I am a former 'I.T. Techie' that
decided to pursue my vision of 'what I love to do' when I was
downsized from my company.
I love puzzles, games and mystery...and based on my last year
of I.T. experience, I know team dysfunction when I see it. My
goal is to simply create a way to improve team dynamics using
creativity, mystery, intrigue and fun.
I've run treasure hunts for CEO's and for Teams and for Kids Birthday
Parties. You'd be amazed how similar all of these groups sometimes
behave once the event gets started. A Motley Clue Adventure is
not only built for fun, but to respectfully show how positive
collaboration always outgains a 'win at all costs' mentality.
I'd love to work with your group, and if you contact Motley Clue,
you'll speak and work with me directly...not an intern or someone
without experience. I facilitate all our Team Event personally
and take pride in the services we provide. |
Our Puzzles and Clues:
Very few of our challenges are of the garden 'crossword puzzle'
variety. We're proud of the many different types of puzzles and
clues we provide. Our intention is for our players to use all
of their senses to think 'outside the box' in discovering the
solutions.
Our most popular challenges use props. A prop puzzle is simply
one that has some sort of physical quality associated with it...i.e.
something you can hold, look at, smell or even taste. These types
of puzzles get everyone involved in the fun, because they are
more tactile than mere paper and pencil puzzles. These challenges
give the opportunity for unique points of view and suggestions
from all the players based on how they perceive the props. |
